Cell phone addiction – its effects and remedies

Mobile phones and the Internet have become an indispensable part of our lives. Both have made our lives easier. Before I proceed, let me ask you a few questions: Do you check your phone frequently? Do you check your phone while meeting your family & friends? Are you keeping your phone beside your pillow while sleeping? Do you pick up your phone without any reason? If the answer to these questions is yes, then, you are a victim of cell phone addiction. A majority of us are becoming a victim of cell phone addiction without even being aware of it which is very alarming.

For many people, checking their phones is the first and the last thing they do every day. Cell phone addiction leads to anxiety, tension and various physical problems. It also affects their productivity. When staying online on the Internet becomes an addiction then, one must attend digital detoxification camps to get rid of this addiction. Studies have found that people who spent more time in their ‘digital life’ are found to be unhappy in their real life. If you suddenly feel that your phone is ringing when it is not ringing, then you might be suffering from Phantom ringing syndrome or Ringxiety.
