Review:

The biggest festival of the world’s largest democracy – LokSabha elections has just ended. The results have been declared, and Prime Minister Modi got another term.

When the political temperatures were touching new records, I got the opportunity to read this exciting political thriller. This book topped up my excitement.

The entire story was written in such a way that it made finish the book in one go. It’s a fictional tale that focuses on ‘closed-door’ door. The story talks about the manipulation and exploitation of the electoral process.

The story revolves around three leading characters – Rajat Gandy – a young political scion of the opposition party, Afsha Khan – a political correspondent with a leading TV news channel and Sumit Anand, an officer with Economic Offences Wing.

The story is a perfect combination of action, drama and thriller. The language is very simple and easy to understand. You don’t need any dictionary, and that’s the best part of this book. The reader’s attention doesn’t get distracted. The story is filled with unexpected twists and turns at every point, that keeps the readers glued to the book.

The story talks about a multi-million dollar Pharma scam, communal tensions spread by political parties to gain political mileage and the negativities spread by politicians on social media.

In the story, we see Afsha is in a relationship with Sumit Anand. Afsha’s boss sends her to Bhopal to report on the communal tensions. There she gets to know about an assassination plot. Some people want to Rajat Gandy. On the other side, Sumit Anand gets to the bottom of the pharma scam.

Is there a link between the assassination plot and the pharma scam? Will Afsha manage to save Rajat Gandy’s life? Who is behind this conspiracy? To find all the answers, simply grab a copy of the book. The level of conspiracy, blame game and rivalry are perfectly portrayed. You will simply love it.

Rating: 9/10.
