SVF launched the HoiChoi App, yesterday at an event in Kolkata. ‘HoiChoi’ is a Bengali term which means non-stop entertainment. The app is a one-stop digital content platform exclusively for Bengali content. The app is powered by ViewLift, the International content distribution platform and Amazon Web Services, world’s largest cloud computing solution provider. The app boasts a strong content library of Original Web Series, over 500 Bengali movies and more than 1,000 Bengali songs for audio streaming to cater to over 250 million Bengali audience globally.
HoiChoi’s Original Web Series cuts across genres like Thriller, Drama, Horror, Romance and Comedy. The Original Web Series includes – Byomkesh, Hello, Cartoon, Dupur Thakurpo, Holy Faak and Bouma Detective. “HoiChoi is the ultimate destination for Bengali Entertainment, with something on offer for every Bengali – young or old, movie buff or music lover, student or working professional.”, said Vishu Mohta, Co-Founder – Hoichoi and Executive Director – SVF.

The service is available at a nominal subscription fee of ₹ 149, ₹ 249 and ₹ 399 for 3,6 and 12 months respectively. For Overseas users, the monthly subscription fee is $8.99 and the annual subscription fee is $79.99. The subscription fees can be paid via regular e-payment modes including UPI. The support for carrier billing to be added soon.
