MWC 2018 : HMD Global launches 5 new Nokia Phones

HMD Global has announced four new Android new smartphones – Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus, new Nokia 6 and Nokia 1. In addition to these smartphones, the company has also relaunched the iconic Nokia 8110. The Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus and new Nokia 6 (2018) will join the Android One family. While the Nokia 1 will run on Android 8.0 Oreo (Go Edition).

Nokia 8110

The Nokia 8110 is the second member of the ‘Nokia Originals’ family, after Nokia 3310. The handset sports the elegantly curved slider design and features intuitive tactile mechanics, with slide to answer and end calls, as well as an addictive helicopter-style spin on its axis.

The Nokia 8110 feature a 2.4inch QVGA curved display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 dual-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz with 512MB RAM and 4GB storage. The device runs on Smart Feature OS.

The Nokia 8110 features a 2MP rear camera and packs a 1,500mAh battery. Other features include – WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.

The Nokia 8110 will come in Traditional Black and Banana Yellow colour variants. The new avatar of the Iconic Nokia 8110 also includes The ‘revamped’ Snake game.

Nokia 1

The Nokia 1 runs on Android Oreo (Go Edition), a version of Android optimized for devices with 1GB RAM or less. The handset sports a 4.5inch IPS display and is powered by a MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz with 1GB RAM and 8GB of built-in storage, expandable upto 128GB via microSD card.

The Nokia 1 features a 5MP Fixed Focus rear camera with LED flash and 2MP Fixed Focus camera on the front.

The device includes support for 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 and packs a 2,150mAh battery. Sensors on the phone include proximity sensors, ambient light sensor and G-Sensor. Nokia 1 will be available in Warm Red and Dark Blue colour variants.

Nokia 6

The new Nokia 6 boasts a metal (6,000 series aluminium) unibody design and sports a 5.5inch Full HD display with 2.5D  Gorilla Glass protection. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and will be available in 3GB or 4GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage, expandable upto 128GB via microSD card. The handset runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

The Nokia 6 (2018) features a 16MP rear camera with Zeiss optics and dual-tone flash. On the front, it includes an 8MP wide-angle camera. The new Nokia 6 is also equipped with Dual – Sight technology that allows you to stream harnesses both the front and rear cameras in a split screen visual for both photos and videos. The handset packs a 3,000mAh battery with support for Fast Charging.

Other features include GPS, USB Type – C and USB OTG. Sensors on the phone include – ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, e-compass, gyroscope, hall sensor and fingerprint sensor.

Nokia 7 Plus

The Nokia 7 Plus boasts a metal (6,000 series aluminium) unibody design and sports a 6 inch IPS Full HD display with 2.5D  Gorilla Glass protection. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and will be available in 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage, expandable upto 256GB via microSD card. The handset runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

The Nokia 7 Plus features a rear camera setup with Zeiss optics – 12MP primary camera and a 13MP secondary camera with dual-tone LED flash. On the front, it includes a 16MP camera with Zeiss optics. The Nokia 7 plus is also equipped with Dual-Sight technology. The handset packs a 3,800mAh battery with support for Fast Charging.

Other features include GPS, NFC, USB Type – C and USB OTG. Sensors on the phone include – ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, e-compass, gyroscope, hall sensor and fingerprint sensor.

 

Nokia 8 Sirocco

The Nokia 8 Sirocco boasts a metal (6,000 series aluminium) unibody design and sports a 5.5 inch IPS Full HD display with 3D  Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and will be available in 6GB LPDDR 4X RAM and 128GB of storage. The handset runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco features a rear camera setup with Zeiss optics – 12MP primary camera and a 13MP secondary camera with dual-tone LED flash. On the front, it includes a 5MP camera with Zeiss optics and display flash. The Nokia 8 sirocco is also equipped with Dual-Sight technology. The handset packs a 3,260mAh battery with support for Fast Charging and Wireless charging.

Other features include GPS, NFC, USB Type – C and USB OTG. Sensors on the phone include – ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, e-compass, gyroscope, hall sensor and fingerprint sensor.
