Lord Shri Krishna – His life and teachings

Happy Krishna Janmashtami greetings! I’m starting my #MyFriendAlexa journey by dedicating my first post to Lord Shri Krishna, his life and his teachings. Lord Shri Krishna was the 8th avatar of Lord Vishnu. Various studies have shown that the Lord lived in this world for 125 years in Dwapar Yuga. During his lifetime, he re-educated the world about devotion, dharma and Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

Lord Shri Krishna is also known as ‘Purna Puroshottam’. In this article, we will look into the life of Lord Shri Krishna and understand what we can learn from those events. The Lord enacted many roles — a child, a brother, a true friend, a charioteer, a warrior, a guide, a strategist etc. While performing those roles, never forgets about his true nature, eternal, and in this way, he performed all the duties perfectly.

What we can learn?

Bhagavad Gita

“There may be a lot of great leaders. But I felt that the first ever motivational seminar which was spoken on the planet Earth was 5,200 years ago in the battlefield of Kurukshetra. It was spoken when there was a deep crisis” – Dr. Vivek Bindra, famous motivational speaker.

The principles of the Bhagavad Gita are timeless. The book answers all your questions related to life in just 700 slokas. It is the ultimate book of motivation. It is this knowledge that helped Arjun to standup and motivated him to fight the war.

I am going to conclude by sharing one famous sloka from the Bhagavad Gita:

Karmanye vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana,

Ma Karmaphalaheturbhurma Te Sangostvakarmani

Here, the Lord says that you have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself to be the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty.

Radhey Radhey!
