The Month of April was a busy super busy one for me… a lot of travelling and the A2Z Challenge 2019. This was my first attempt and writing 26 posts in a month were challenging. Though I enrolled myself for this challenge, I didn’t know what to write. I was confused about the theme…leave alone, blog posts. I finally decided after a lot of thinking that, my posts will be on tech…promoting digital literacy. So, I named it ‘A2Z of Technology’ and HiTechUp‘s launch got preponed. I scheduled it for August but launched it on April 7, 2019. Shubhasya Shighram!

Why did I choose tech? I started blogging in the year 2010, as a tech blogger. Later, I added finance and lifestyle-related categories. The diversification worked well. My blog gave me a platform to share my knowledge and views on various topics. But, most of my readers complained that I have diverted my attention from tech. Well, I introduced a ‘Science and Technology’ tab in my blog and I started to update this section at regular intervals. This fetched a positive response.

In the last 3 to 4 months…a series of events took place. All my old contacts from the tech world suddenly became active. The biggest development was…I was invited to join the prestigious #DigitSQUAD platform. These developments enabled me to choose tech…to post tech blog posts for 1 month.

A2Z 2019

During keyword selection, I could select only 23 keywords out of 26 alphabets and I started my journey. There were instances when I had to change the keyword because they were too ‘techie’. Some were changed in the middle of the drafting change, and I had to write a new post from the beginning. I am attaching my keyword selection sheet.

You can see that I had to do a lot of modifications. Not a single post was scheduled. I utilised my weekend to publish my posts. Sometimes, I wondered whether I would be able to complete this challenge or not. The same question haunted me at the time of registration. But, I decided to step my right foot forward…and went ahead. At the end of the day, ‘All’s well that ends well’ :). Yes, I completed the challenge.

The best part was that all the 26 posts were got ranked on Page 1. Some of them made its way to the ‘Featured Snippet’. It gave me the opportunity to work on my ‘SEO skills’ for Tech posts.

The Road Ahead…

Today, for the last time I am publishing a tech related post on TBD. Upcoming tech posts will be published ONLY on hitechup.in. Well, I am not closing TBD. Existing tech posts will remain untouched and I shall continue to share my ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on finance and lifestyle-related topics.

While preparing my posts for A2Z series, I had to go through a lot of notes, running notes and it is helping me in many ways. Most of the topics were very covered in very brief. Some of you wanted to know more about it. Well, I am going to start ‘Tech-Know-Logy’ series on HiTechUp. I’ll be covering these topics in details and I am going to take the help the videos to make it easier for you to understand. Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel.
